Gutta Gard does work pretty good, but the clips, which hold the panels to the front of the gutter allow water and trash to flow down the face of the gutter, acting like a wick. I have black staining on my white gutters at every clip location.

I put "gutta gards" in myself where I could reach the gutter, and they kept all debris out. Had new gutters put on my house and the builder used the old "gutta gards" and additional new ones. Even he was impressed. Now the oak, cottonwood, and maple wings and leaves will stay on the ground.

This product really works, and has done so for almost 20 years on my house. With a little care in sliding the gards in place, and using a pliers to pull the clips in place, it does a magnificient job, exactly as described in the Elko literature. After 5 years of use, I looked inside the gutters, and there was nothing but a bunch of roof shingle stones...no maple seeds, pine needles, debris, etc. It works on K gutters and plastic gutters. Corners are easy. |
